EPOS announced today that a firmware upgrade is now available for its IMPACT line of wired headsets, previously certified for Skype for Business, enabling certification for Microsoft Teams. The EPOS IMPACT line is designed for an exceptional customer experience. Its portfolio of high-end audio tools ensures optimal comfort, effortless call control, and rich, natural sound – all powered by reliable, intelligent technology that filters out unwanted noise, enhances sound quality, and improves efficiency.
The Teams certification update offers all the existing benefits of the Skype for Business certification and includes enhanced Teams features. Users can now receive notifications and switch directly to notifications within Teams. A green activity LED on the headset now provides notifications for missed calls, voicemails, or the start of meetings. Pressing the answer button opens the application, taking the user directly to the relevant notification: missed calls, voice calls, or meetings.
Existing users of a wired IMPACT product simply need to perform a firmware update via the EPOS Connect client application to upgrade their devices for full Teams functionality. Alternatively, IT managers can use EPOS Manager – a free, cloud-based IT management tool – to deploy the firmware update company-wide for all IMPACT headset users from a central location. This gives them complete control over the company's audio devices.
