The hybrid workplace is increasingly becoming the norm, with more and more employees using mobile devices via cloud-based services in their daily work. As a result, thin clients will become increasingly prevalent in the enterprise worldwide. Because thin clients are extremely secure and easy to manage due to their ability to optimize hardware and run specific programs for particular tasks, they are primarily used by companies or institutions that work with sensitive data in sectors such as banking, finance, and insurance, as well as healthcare and education, and also in government agencies. To keep pace with the demands of these industries and ensure optimal communication and collaboration among employees, the premium audio brand EPOS announces its new partnership with Unicon Software, a leading provider of cloud computing solutions and a specialist in thin client computing software.
Companies using Linux-based thin clients running the Unicon Software eLux RP® operating system can now integrate EPOS Device Management software into their operating system to ensure seamless optimization and management of their EPOS audio devices. The EPOS Device Management solution consists of two interconnected solutions for managing audio devices via thin clients – EPOS Connect and EPOS Manager. Both are now compatible with VDI solutions, allowing IT administrators to centrally optimize and update a company's audio devices.
A special version of the EPOS Connect client application has been integrated into the Unicon operating system. After activation via the Scout Enterprise Management Suite®, IT administrators can download and install the EPOS Manager – a free, cloud-based IT management tool that enables complete management of audio devices, full configuration management, and comprehensive firmware updates across the entire enterprise from a central location, thus ensuring complete control.
