IMPACT SDW - Firmware update fails

The firmware update of a SDW headset and base might fail, because the device thinks that it is in a call state. Follow the steps below to rectify this issue.

1. Open your start menu and type in sound.

2. Click on Sound settings.

3. On the right-hand side under related settings, click Sound Control Panel.

4. Click on the Recording tab.
​

5. Find the SDW listing, right click on it and click disable.

​

6. You will now be able to update the firmware. After the update is complete please remember to re-enable the SDW microphone by reversing these steps.
