The EPOS Software Development Kit (SDK) enables you to integrate EPOS USB devices with your software solution and to leverage interoperability and call control features including accept, reject, end, mute, unmute, hold and resume a call.
The presence recognition with EPOS USB Busylight is also part of the call control and interoperability features.
Depending on your platform, there are different SDK which can be used. They all enable call control and interoperability features for EPOS devices.
SDK services
To enable the call control and interoperability features, the SDK Service exposes a set of communication protocols to the softphones: TCP/IP Socket, Web Socket and REST API.
This SDK Service is available for Windows, Mac OS. once installed, The SDK Service will be running as a background service.
Tailored SDKs are available for various platforms, ensuring robust call control and interoperability with EPOS devices
System Requirements
- Windows: 7 or later versions
- Mac OS: 10.13 or later (Intel and ARM/M1 chipset)
SDK Library
The SDK Library is a native c++ library that can be included directly into a codebase and enables call control through a public interface.
This SDK Library is available for Windows, Mac OS and Linux.
System Requirements
- Windows: 7 or later versions
- Mac OS: 10.13 or later (Intel and ARM/M1 chipset)
- Linux: The binaries are verified on Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04. It is expected to work on other Linux distributions
Web SDK
The Web SDK is a JavaScript file that can be used in modern browsers and enables call control through a set of public functions. This SDK supports EPOS devices via either WebSocket or Web HID.
WebSocket
The Web SDK will establish a WebSocket connection to the SDK Service if available in the system and enable call control with EPOS devices.
Web HID
If the Web SDK cannot create a WebSocket connection to the SDK Service, it will use Web HID to communicate with EPOS devices on supported browsers.
Amazon Connect
Amazon Connect Package
Amazon Connect is a JavaScript file, that can be used with Amazon Connect and enables integration of EPOS products with Amazon Connect.
Amazon Connect Demo App
The Amazon Connect Demo App is a web-based application that supports developers to illustrate the integration of EPOS SDK or EPOS Connect together with Amazon Connect platform.
Demo App
The Demo App is a desktop application created for softphone developers to assist and verify correct integration with EPOS SDK.
The source code is made available to support a fast and efficient SDK integration.
The Demo App is available on Windows, Mac OS and Linux.
